Medical Definition of E rosettes

1. The clustering of sheep erythrocytes around a leucocyte or other cell. E rosette formation is used as a marker for T lymphocytes of humans and most mammals, in this case erythrocytes are untreated, compared with other rosette tests such as EA where erythrocytes have antibody bound to their surface.
