Medical Definition of Hegglin's syndrome

1. Dissociation between electromechanical systole (Q-SII interval) and electrical systole (Q-T interval) so that the second heart tone (SII) is recorded before the end of the T wave; described by Hegglin as an energy-dynamic cardiac insufficiency during diabetic coma and other metabolic disorders.
