Medical Definition of Meckel syndrome

1. A malformation syndrome, lethal in the perinatal period, and characterised by intrauterine growth retardation, sloping forehead, occipital exencephalocele, ocular anomalies, cleft palate, polydactyly, polycystic kidney, and other malformations; autosomal recessive inheritance.
