Medical Definition of Virchow-Hassall bodies

1. Small spherical bodies of keratinised and usually squamous epithelial cells arranged in a concentric pattern around clusters of degenerating lymphocytes, eosinophils, and macrophages; found in the medulla of the lobules of the thymus.
