Medical Definition of Anoxic reactor
1. A bioreactor which is used to treat wastewater that utterly lacksdissolved oxygen, in it, faculatively anaerobic microbes are able tooxidize the sewage because they use nitrate ions as their oxygen source. (09 Oct 1997)
