1. A ointment (or cream) based medication that kills bacteria. Examples include Neosporin, Bactroban, Garamycin, bacitracin, gentamicin, mupirocin, neomycin, silver sulphasalazine, chloramphenicol and clindamycin. (27 Sep 1997)
