1. A disease manifested by atrophy, shrinkage, and often almost complete disappearance of the turbinate bones, accompanied by distortion of the facial bones, sneezing, and stunting of the growth of young animals; caused principally by the bacterium Bordetella bronchiseptica. (05 Mar 2000)
