1. Trichomoniasis occurring in the upper digestive tract in a variety of birds and caused by Trichomonas gallinae; it causes necrotic ulceration in the mouth, oesophagus, crop, and proventriculus, frequently with rapid weight loss and death. (05 Mar 2000)
