Medical Definition of Axillary glands
1. Numerous nodes around the axillary veins which receive the lymphatic drainage from the upper limb, scapular region and pectoral region (including mammary gland); they drain into the subclavian trunk. Synonym: nodi lymphatici axillares, axillary glands. (05 Mar 2000)
