Medical Definition of Bar clasp arm
1. A clasp arm which has its origin in the denture base or major connector; it consists of the arm which traverses but does not contact the gingival structures, and a terminal end which approaches its contact with the tooth in a gingivo-occlusal direction. (05 Mar 2000)
