Medical Definition of Cardiovascular deconditioning

1. A change in cardiovascular function, especially after periods of actual or simulated weightlessness or diminished power or strength, probably related to the shift of a quantity of blood from the lower limbs to the thorax, resulting in reflex diuresis and a reduction of blood volume.
