Definition of Cheesefare

1. Adjective. Used in the combination "Cheesefare Sunday" by English-speaking members of the Christian Orthodox churches to indicate the last day before the Lenten fast, traditionally the last day on which cheese and other animal products may be eaten until Pascha (Easter).
