Medical Definition of Cricothyroid ligament

1. The strong band that connects the cricoid and thyroid cartilages in the midline anteriorly; it is continuous posteriorly with the conus elasticus. Synonym: conus elasticus, ligamentum cricothyroideum. (05 Mar 2000)
