1. Branch of the ulnar artery which supplies the hypothenar muscles then passes deep into the palm to the flexor tendons and anastomoses with the deep palmar arch from the radial artery. Synonym: ramus palmaris profundus arteriae ulnaris. (05 Mar 2000)
