Medical Definition of Deoxyribonuclease hpaii

One of the type II site-specific deoxyribonucleases (ec 3.1.21.4). It recognises and cleaves the sequences c/cgg and ggc/c at the slash. Hpaii is from haemophilus parainfluenzae. Several isoschizomers have been identified.
