Medical Definition of Ectomerogony
1. The production of merozoites in the asexual reproduction of sporozoan parasites at the surface of schizonts and of blastophores, or by infolding into the schizont, as contrasted with endomerogony; ectomerogony has been observed in various species of Eimeria.
