Medical Definition of Ethylketocyclazocine

1. 3-(cyclopropylmethyl)-6-ethyl-3,4,5,6-tetrahydro-8-hydroxy-11-methyl-2,6-methano-3-benzazocin-1(2h)-one. A kappa opioid receptor agonist. The compound has analgesic action and shows positive inotropic effects on the electrically stimulated left atrium. It also affects various types of behaviour in mammals such as locomotion, rearing, and grooming. Pharmacological action: analgesics, opioid.
