1. A foetal syndrome resulting from maternal ingestion of hydantoin analogues (e.g., phenytoin), characterised by growth deficiency, mental deficiency, dysmorphic facies, cleft palate and/or lip, cardiac defects, and abnormal genitalia. (05 Mar 2000)
