Medical Definition of Generalised pustular psoriasis of zambusch

1. An extensive exacerbation of psoriasis, with pustule formation in the normal and psoriatic skin, fever, and granulocytosis; sometimes precipitated by oral steroids. Synonym: generalised pustular psoriasis of Zambusch. A local pustular eruption of the palms and soles, occurring most commonly in a patient with psoriasis; difficult to distinguish from acrodermatitis continua. (05 Mar 2000)
