1. A form of wart or papilloma. Commonly seen in the genital area and sexually transmitted. Causative agent is the human papilloma virus. The most common sexually transmitted disease. Treatment involves the use of special medications or localised surgical treatment (for example cryotherapy, surgical removal). (27 Sep 1997)
