1. A nodule, possibly inflammatory in nature, arising commonly from the flexor sheath of the fingers and thumb; composed of fibrous tissue, lipid-and haemosiderin-containing macrophages, and multinucleated giant cells. Synonym: localised nodular tenosynovitis. (05 Mar 2000)
