Medical Definition of Glycine hydroxymethyltransferase

1. A pyridoxal phosphate enzyme that catalyses the reaction of glycine and 5,10-methylene-tetrahydrofolate to form serine. It also catalyses the reaction of glycine with acetaldehyde to form l-threonine.
