Medical Definition of Lcat deficiency
1. A rare condition characterised by corneal opacities, haemolytic anaemia, proteinuria, renal insufficiency, and premature atherosclerosis, and very low levels of lecithin cholesterol acyltransferase (LCAT) activity; results in accumulation of unesterfied cholesterol in plasma and tissues.
