1. A synthetic nonapeptide agonist analog of gonadorelin. It is used in the treatment of advanced prostatic cancer, fibrocystic disease of the breast, and leiomyoma of the uterus. Pharmacological action: antineoplastic agent, hormonal. Chemical name: Luteinizing hormone-releasing factor (pig), 6-D-leucine-9-(N-ethyl-L-prolinamide)-10-deglycinamide- (12 Dec 1998)
