Medical Definition of Linea glutea

1. One of three rough curved lines on the outer surface of the ala of the ilium: anterior (or middle) gluteal line, inferior gluteal line, and posterior gluteal line; the two areas bounded by these give attachment to the gluteus minimus muscle below and gluteus medius above.
