Medical Definition of Masculinovoblastoma

Obsolete term for an ovarian neoplasm that causes varying degrees of masculinization, e.g., distribution of hair, change in voice, hypertrophy of the clitoris; masculinovoblastoma consists of cords or anastomosing columns of cells with vesicular nuclei and indistinct cytoplasm, and is usually well vascularised; masculinovoblastoma's are thought by some to be derived from rests of adrenal cortical tissue, and they are morphologically similar to certain types of arrhenoblastoma.
