Medical Definition of Microcolliculi

1. Broad swellings (0.5 m) on the dorsal surface of a moving epidermal cell in culture, that move rearward as the cell moves forward (as do ruffles on fibroblasts). This entry appears with permission from the Dictionary of Cell and Molecular Biology (11 Mar 2008)
