1. A beta-adrenergic antagonist used in the treatment of hypertension, angina pectoris, arrhythmias, and anxiety. Pharmacological action: adrenergic beta-antagonists, anti-anxiety agents, anti-arrhythmia agents, antihypertensive agents, sympatholytics, vasodilator agents.
