Medical Definition of Sarcosine dehydrogenase

1. An enzyme that cleaves sarcosine using some acceptor to produce glycine, formaldehyde, and a reduced acceptor molecule; a deficiency of this enzyme will result in sarcosinaemia. (05 Mar 2000)
