Medical Definition of Secondary agammaglobulinaemia

1. Immunodeficiency in which there is no evident defect in the lymphoid tissues, but rather hypercatabolism or loss of immunoglobulins such as occurs in familial idiopathic hypercatabolic hypoproteinaemia or in defects associated with the nephrotic syndrome.
