Definition of Speededness

1. Noun. A test characteristic, dictated by the test’s time limits, that results in a test taker’s score being dependent on the rate at which work is performed as well as the correctness of the responses. The term is not used to describe tests of speed. Speededness is often an undesirable characteristic. ¹
