Medical Definition of Tore supra

Large tokamak in Cadarache (southern France). The second largest tokamak in Europe, largest tokamak using superconducting toroidal field magnets. Tore Supra has a circular cross-section (like TFTR), which limits the achievable confinement time and experimental flexibility. In addition to developing superconducting technology, it concentrates on the physics of long pulses and ergodic magnetic limiters.
