1. A papular or pustular inflammation of the hair follicles of the beard, followed by punctuate scarring and loss of the hair. Synonym: ulerythema sycosiforme. Sycosis nuchae necrotisans, acne keloid on the back of the neck at the hairline. (05 Mar 2000)
