Medical Definition of T suppressor cell

1. Set of T lymphocytes (usually CD8) specifically involved in suppressing B-cell differentiation into antibody secreting cells. There may also be T suppresors of T-cell functions. This entry appears with permission from the Dictionary of Cell and Molecular Biology (11 Mar 2008)
