1. Proper noun. The United States Uniformed Services is a group of seven (7) uniformed services of the United States federal government defined by federal law. The United States Uniformed Services includes the five armed services (military) and two non-military services. The armed services are the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard. The non-military services are the Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Commissioned Corps. ¹
