1. An acute toxaemic disease of cattle caused by the bacterium Clostridium haemolyticum and characterised by severe depression, fever, abdominal pain, dyspnea, dysentery, haemoglobinuria, and rapid death; also occurs in sheep and, rarely, in dogs. (05 Mar 2000)
