Medical Definition of Benzydamine

1. 1-benzyl-3-(3-dimethylamino)propoxy)-1h-indazole monohydrochloride. An analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory agent used to reduce post-surgical and posttraumatic pain and oedema and to promote healing. It is also used topically in treatment of rheumatic disease and inflammation of the mouth and throat. Pharmacological action: non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents, topical anti-inflammatory agents.
