1. A very toxic anthracycline-type antibiotic related to daunorubicin, obtained from actinomadura carminata. It is used in soft tissue neoplasms and leukaemias. Pharmacological action: antibiotics, anthracycline. Chemical name: Carminomycin (12 Dec 1998)
