Medical Definition of Cnidarian venoms

1. Venoms from jellyfish, coral, sea anemone, nematocysts, etc. They contain haemo-, cardio-, dermo- , and neurotoxic substances and probably enzymes. They include palytoxin, sarcophine, and anthopleurine. (12 Dec 1998)
