1. Stimulation of nerve endings of certain cranial nerves (e.g., olfactory, ophthalmic branch of trigeminal), with resultant cardiac depressor reflex, manifested by bradycardia and hypotension, through the cardiac branch of the vagus. (05 Mar 2000)
