Medical Definition of Epihyal ligament

1. A fibrous cord that passes from the tip of the styloid process to the lesser cornu of the hyoid bone; it is occasionally ossified. Synonym: ligamentum stylohyoideum, epihyal ligament. (05 Mar 2000)
