4-(5,6,7,8-tetrahydroimidazo(1,5-a)pyridin-5-yl)benzonitrile. A selective aromatase inhibitor effective in the treatment of oestrogen-dependent disease including breast cancer.
Pharmacological action: antineoplastic agent, hormonal, enzyme inhibitors, oestrogen antagonists.
