Medical Definition of Foramen parietale

1. An inconstant foramen in the parietal bone occasionally found bilaterally near the sagittal margin posteriorly; when present it transmits an emissary vein to the superior sagittal sinus. Synonym: foramen parietale. (05 Mar 2000)
