Medical Definition of Hydrocalycosis

1. A usually symptomless anomaly of the renal calix that is dilated from obstruction of the infundibulum; usually discovered incidentally at pyelography or autopsy; may become infected. Origin: hydro-+ G. Kalyx, cup of a flower (05 Mar 2000)
