Medical Definition of Interglobular space

1. One of a number of irregularly branched spaces near the periphery of the dentin of the crown of a tooth, through which pass the ramifications of the tubules; they are caused by failure of calcification of the dentin. Synonym: spatium interglobulare, interglobular space of Owen. (05 Mar 2000)
