1. A vein receiving blood from adjacent bronchopulmonary segments; it emerges from the inferior margin of a segment to become a tributary of a branch of a pulmonary vein. Synonym: infrasegmental part, intersegmental part of pulmonary vein, pars infrasegmentalis. (05 Mar 2000)
