Medical Definition of Middle glossoepiglottic fold

 A fold of mucous membrane in the midline that extends from the back of the tongue to the epiglottis, forming the medial boundary of the epiglottic valleculae.
Synonym: plica glossoepiglottica mediana, frenulum epiglottidis, middle glossoepiglottic fold.
