1. N-Methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine;piperidine derivative which causes irreversible symptoms of parkinsonism in humans and monkeys. A by-product of illicitly manufactured meperidine that caused numerous cases of parkinsonism. Used as an experimental tool in research on parkinsonism. (05 Mar 2000)
