Medical Definition of Nojirimycin
1.
Antibiotic produced by Streptomyces strains, inhibits _ glucosidases and prevents normal glycosylation of proteins by interfering with the early pruning down to the core carbohydrate that is normally followed by addition of specific sugar residues.
