1. Synthetic analog of lypressin with more vasoconstrictor than antidiuretic action. It is used as a haemostatic. Pharmacological action: haemostatics, renal agents, vasoconstrictor agents. Chemical name: Vasopressin, 2-L-phenylalanine-8-L-lysine- (12 Dec 1998)
